"The different shades of the wood in this tea light holder remind me of Neapolitan ice cream, hence the name. Made from reclaimed wood, the beech and oak come from off cuts from furniture manufacturers in Brighouse and Bradford which would otherwise have been burnt as firewood!
The darker teak was originally from the benches in a second world war air raid shelter at RAF Swanton Morely in Norfolk. Saved by my father from being thrown away, it was later used in my grandmother’s garden bench before it became too weathered. I then saved it for a second time, planed it back to good wood and incorporated this little bit of history into this tea light holder."
Size approx 18 x 7 x 4 cm
