The map shows the BBC Radio 4 and Met Office Shipping Forecast regions including their coordinates, and also includes the coastal weather stations of the British Isles, the Inshore Waters, Beaufort Scale, and maritime signal flags. It's decorated with a ship, a medieval style whale and wind-blowing head, an old-fashioned radio, and a compass rose. A cartouche gives a history of the forecast.
