Occurring mostly in the tropics, female blanket octopuses reach 2m - this is 10x the maximum size of the males! She has a webbed "blanket" between her arms that she unfolds to make herself seem bigger when feeling threatened.
Occurring mostly in the tropics, female blanket octopuses reach 2m - this is 10x the maximum size of the males! She has a webbed "blanket" between her arms that she unfolds to make herself seem bigger when feeling threatened.
- The original painting uses iridescent watercolours, inks, texture paste and gold leaf. And to transfer this effect every print is individually hand-finished by Bryony using iridescent mediums and paints - this makes her sparkle when catching the light (see the close up images for these effects).
- These are high quality giclee reproductions printed on 350 gsm William Turner Hahnemule paper (making it thick almost like card) with a textured surface - resembling the original painting.
- Part of a limited edition run of 150 prints, each is numbered, signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
- Available in A4 or A3 sizes, framed versions are also available, a black frame with a black mount really makes her pop.
- Prints are packed in film bags (bio-based and biodegradable) with archival quality acid-free backing boards protect prints from chemical changes that can affect the colours.
