Birds of Yorkshire - Handprinted, Illustrated Tea Towel

This is one my best selling designs, showing 7 sea birds from Yorkshire. I am a Scarborough based illustrator and have always had a soft spot for birds, even the chip thief's! I also love all things silly; this tea towel design is no exception! It features my own original illustrations of a Cormorant, a Shag, a Kittiwake, a Puffin, a Gannet, a Herring Gull, and a Turnstone. Each bird has it's own comedic caption, which juxtaposes the scientific illustration style. 

This cheeky and educational design makes a fun and unique gift for bird spotters, bird watchers, sea bird lovers, gardeners, and anyone with a good sense of humour! The perfect present for Mums, Dads, gull hating grandparents, and Shag loving partners...

🦅 Hand Printed on High-Quality Fabric:

Each of these products are hand printed, and hand packaged by me. Packaged with a printed paper band with the design title and artist details. This way I can fully quality check all of my prints, for the highest quality finish. I print each of these towels to order. They are made from a lovely, thick, 420gsm cotton, traditional terry cloth on the reverse. And a 100% Polyester Microfibre velour on the face. So not only does it look great but it does a great job of drying the dishes too! It is super soft and super absorbent! 

🦅  Sustainable Choice:

As a small creator, I do my best to minimise waste and keep my footprint to a minimum. I buy my materials in small batches, and print to demand, so there is never any waste left over. I also purchase all of my materials from within the UK to reduce air miles and travel distance. My packaging is eco-friendly and recyclable; my print process also has only recyclables (just paper!) as a by-product.

It appears purely educational, with original, scientific style illustrations. However, take a closer look and enjoy some hilarious (and slight rude) captions! There is a swear word-so beware!
